Cats Protection

Homing Centre Manager (Ferndown, Dorset)

Reporting to the Development Manager West and Wales you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Homing Centre, meeting the overall needs and welfare of the cats and overseeing the activities of the staff and volunteers. 

You will be highly motivated with previous experience of managing staff, volunteers and budgetary control. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential. A background of working with animals would be an advantage. Applicants must hold a full clean driving licence

Dogs Trust

Team Assistant (London)

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity. Every year, we look after over 17,000 dogs at our nationwide network of Rehoming centres and we never destroy a healthy dog. 

We are now seeking to recruit a Team Assistant based at our London Office in Islington. This role is mainly to provide general administrative support to the PA to the Chief Executive, the International Director and Veterinary Director. The successful candidate will also assist in organising events, and working on special projects.  

The successful candidate will have previous secretarial experience of working within a busy office environment, and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. They must also be capable of managing their own workload while respecting confidentiality.

Dogs Trust (Loughborough)

Dogs Trust will open its brand new Loughborough Centre in summer 2012. This will be one of the largest and greenest rehoming centres and will offer space for around 100 dogs. It is expected that the centre will help 1,000 dogs a year find new homes.

Media & PR Manager - £28,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience

The Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT) is a national charity dedicated to finding loving homes for greyhounds when their racing days are over. We operate a network of 72 volunteer-led branches across Britain from which we find approximately 4,000 homes each year. 

The Trust is now seeking a first, full time Media and PR Manager to join its small head office team in Worcester Park, Surrey. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Trust’s media relations. The role will be exciting and varied and will include securing local and national press coverage to promote our work, establishing a Press Office, developing and implementing advertising strategies, producing a biannual newsletter to supporters, developing the Trust's online presence and use of social media and involvement with event organisation and implementation of a new fundraising strategy.

Could you be a Trustee of Greyhound Rescue West of England (GRWE)?

To complement the skills of the existing Board of Trustees, we are looking for individuals with specific skills in one or more of the following areas – law, HR, marketing and PR. In addition, we hope to strengthen Trustee presence in the Cheshire, Lancashire, Devon, and Cornwall areas.

Trustees are responsible for the management of the charity and appointments are for a period of three years. The position is unsalaried although reasonable expenses are paid.
