Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Battersea

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and caring RVN to join our large, friendly team. Based at our superbly equipped clinic, you will join us in maintaining the high standards of animal care we pride ourselves on. If you are a team player with a passion for your job, we would love to hear from you. You will work 40 hpw on a rota basis to include some weekends and bank holidays. 30 days annual leave, CPD fully funded and encouraged. You will be required to assist veterinary surgeons in examinations and with the treatment of animals in the Home. You will also need to maintain high standards of animal welfare and nursing care, and carry out nursing duties according to standards and policies laid down by Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and the RCVS.

Stokenchurch Dog Rescue

Assistant Dog Welfare ManagerT

Assist the Dog Welfare Manager in staff management, all dog welfare issues and all matters relating to dog re-homing. Provide full cover in the absence of the Dog Welfare Manager and Admin Manager. Ensure 24 hour cover at all times in conjunction with other staff.

Ensure that SDR and its' staff provide the highest standard possible of animal welfare in terms of cleanliness, behavioural interventions, grooming, healing etc,  

In view of the nature of the duties this post comes with a rent free, on-site Bed-sit Annexe with its' own private garden and patio and room  for one dog.

This new post will play a significant role in implementing the new retail strategy for Cats Protection. Working alongside our incredible volunteers and shops staff you will support, advise, motivate and manage our retail teams to help raise income. With scope for creativity and innovation, this role provides an excellent opportunity to really make your mark in a retail operation that is at the start of an exciting journey. 

Above all, you will have first class people skills and experience in working with volunteers. Charity retail experience is essential and you will have significant people management experience. Motivated and dynamic, you will enjoy a challenge and the variety that working in charity retail brings. 

This role is home based within the South and East Region – we expect you will live within easy reach of main road, rail and air links

Finance Manager

This busy and comprehensive role will include being responsible for processing monthly payroll for 48 employees, day to day financial accounting, and will also include producing monthly management accounts and reports as well as preparation of statutory financial statements.

The successful applicant will be flexible, hard-working, able to manage their own work load and prioritise, and be confident working on their own. Candidates may well be studying for a certified/chartered accountancy qualification and will have the opportunity to develop within the role.
