The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Conference, May 2020

The ADCH 2020 Conference will take place on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 May at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel (The NEC Birmingham, Pendigo Way, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1PP).

The 2020 Conference Programme will once again be split into Streams (Welfare, Dogs/Cats, Management) and all sessions will be interactive with time for Q&A and lively debate.

Welfare Stream – covers and includes operational animal topics, legislative information, case studies and issues relevant to the work of our members;

Dog/Cat Stream – covers and includes operational dog- and cat-specific topics, case studies and a variety of subjects close to the heart and work of our members;

Management Stream – covers and includes Marketing, Fundraising, Human Resources, Health & Safety, regulatory updates, a host of topics relevant to the work and running of rescue and rehoming organisations, its staff and volunteers.

On the evening of Day 1 (Wednesday 6 May) the glittering and hugely-emotional ‘Petplan & ADCH Animal  Charity Awards Gala Dinner’ will be held.  Don’t forget to place your nominations for the awards.  More information here

2019 saw the largest ever attendance with in excess of 500 delegates each day.  We were also joined by a host of truly wonderful sponsors and exhibitors, without whose support and continued commitment we wouldn’t be able to host the Conference.  The ADCH Conference – the UK’s largest animal welfare event – attracts attention from various organisations within the animal welfare sector and we anticipate attendance in 2020 being greater still.

Delegates are made up of both members and non-members, and the event brings together multiple prospective stakeholder groups to share best practice in animal care, welfare, veterinary advances, new technologies, latest techniques, science and research findings, the latest in behaviour and training as well as regulatory and legislative issues facing the industry.

Feedback confirms delegates attend the annual ADCH Conference because they see it as THE best platform for engaging with key stakeholders, well-known and eminent professionals in the field, and they much enjoy having the opportunity to challenge and promote new ideas and thinking.  We are always joined by an excellent mix of trade and industry specialists including insurers, pet food manufacturers, nutritionists, scientists, suppliers, contractors and sector specialists.
